Cafe Ruze is accepting cash donations that will go towards three different charities who are helping out farmers during the worst drought in living memory.
The three charities are Rural Aid “Buy A Bale”, Aussie Helpers for counselling and freight costs, and Lions “Need for Feed”.
Cafe Ruze owner Kylie Rue said they had originally set a target of $1500 but had beaten that.
“We have a new target, we already have $2600 and now we are aiming for $5000,” she said.
“We are divvying it up between the three main charities.”
She said cash donations will allow farmers to spend the money in their own local communities, who are also suffering due to the drought.
