Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service volunteers, ambulance paramedics and police from Young responded to the call about 9.30pm.
No one was inside the building and no one was injured in the blaze.
Acting Inspector of Goulburn Police Matt Packham said the dwelling was “well alight” when emergency services arrived.
Nikki Miller, acting captain of the Cowra Fire and Rescue NSW crew, said the blaze reignited about 3am after about 2½ hours of extinguishing the initial fire.
“It was pretty much destroyed when we got there. The roof had started falling in,” Captain Miller said.
“We got back to the station about 2am but were called back out about 3am.”
Captain Miller said four Rural Fire Service tankers were in attendance as well as Fire and Rescue crews from Cowra and Young and the Harden rehab van.
Police investigations continue.
