The Eagles are on a three-game winning streak ahead of its match up with Forbes Platypi at Forbes on Saturday.
Cowra’s sitting third after nine rounds with five wins, a huge improvement after beginning the season with a string of three losses.
“It’s good. They’re really buying into the game plan we want to play. Being able to fill a team consistently helps compared to the opening few weeks when we were losing games,” Col Jeffs said.
The Eagles’ 29-7 victory over Forbes in round one sparked Cowra to four wins from five games.
But Jeffs knows the defending premiers will be busting to get their season back on track having lost six of their last seven.
“Forbes are getting to the pinch. They’re the defending premiers and they got their top guys back and they like to assert their dominance over Cowra so it’s going to be tough.
“It’s going to be an arm wrestle.”
Cowra will welcome back skipper Chris Miller from Country duty.
The game starts at 3.15pm.
