Cowra High School’s under 15 boys and girls soccer sides are just two wins away from being crowned the western region champions in the Bill Turner Cup and Bill Turner Trophy competitions.

In the boys the Cowra side will take on St Johns College Dubbo in a semi final of the competition at Orange on Monday June 18.
Bathurst and Kelso High clash in the other semi final with the two semi finalists to take part in the final on the same day.
The Cowra High girls team takes on Mudgee High in one semi final.
Bathurst High and James Sheahan Orange take part in the other semi final.
Both the Cowra High girls and boys sides comprise of a number of players who represent the Western NSW Mariners in the 14,15 and 16 year old sides.
The Western NSW Area Champions progress to the Round of 32 stage of the National Knock-out Competition for players aged 15-years-and-under.
This year the Bill Turner Cup and Bill Turner Trophy, regarded as one of the largest sports team competitions in the world, has 850 school teams from Queensland, Northern NSW, NSW, ACT and Victoria participating in the tournament.
There are 450 boys and 400 girls teams entered in 2018.
The top four schools, Cup and Trophy, will contest the National Finals Series at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility at Speers Point oin September 4 and 5.
