Speedway riders head to Woodstock Park Speedway this Saturday, May 19 for round two of this year’s Rock Oil Speedway Winter Series.

Riders will be travelling from Brisbane, Mildura, Newcastle and the South Coast to do battle with the local boys.
The winter series is held over eight rounds with two meetings at Woodstock and Kurri Kurri and one each at tracks at Undera, Albury, Napean and Tamworth.
Queensland’s Zaine Kennedy currently leads the winter series in the 500cc class and heads to Woodstock in good form.
International rider Justin Sedgmen is another big name to watch out for as he looks to make the most of his competition debut at Woodstock Park Speedway.
Spectators can look forward to an action packed day of speedway when riders come up against our local stars in the 500cc class.
That includes the Cook brothers, Ben and Zach, and Matt Gilmore who are all set to line up.
Local Moz Brown will take on Mildura’s Connor Bailey and Sydney based James Pearson in the junior 250cc class.
Brown will be joined by Cowra’s Broc White in the junior 125s.
Brown will be especially determined to continue his form ahead of an coming overseas trip to compete in the 2018 FIM 85cc under-16s Youth Gold Trophy World Championship in Rybnik, Poland.
He was selected by Motorcycling Australia to compete in the championship which run from July 28 till July 29.
This Saturday, May 19 people aged under 16 will get free entry into the winter series while adult tickets are only $5.
Come out and support the local boys with junior 125cc racing commencing at 10.30am and the junior 250cc and 500cc seniors at 1pm. Canteen facilities will be available.
