Timothy Alan Sheehan (32) of Main Street was charged with driving with a low range PCA, learner not accompanied, learner driver not displaying L plates and learner driver exceeding the speed limit by 30km/h.
According to police facts, around 10.35pm on September 8, 2017 police were patrolling Darbys Falls Road when they detected a vehicle that a radar check estimated to be travelling between 125-131km/h.

The inspection found the vehicle to not be displaying L plates and the roadside breath test returned a positive reading, a secondary test at the Cowra police station returned a reading of 0.067 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.
In relation to his drinking and speeding Sheehan told police he had drunk a long neck of VB at a friend’s house before driving and that his speedometer must be out as it was only displaying 100km/h.
Magistrate Michael O’Brien dealt with the matters in Sheehan’s absence as the court was informed he was in custody on unrelated parole breaches.
