Grenfell man Robert William Hayes has been fined $300 and disqualified from driving for six months after being caught drunk behind the wheel.

The 51-year-old was sentenced at Cowra Local Court on Wednesday, March 7 for mid-range drink driving in December.
According to police facts, Hayes was stopped by officers on Mary Gilmore Way about 1am on Thursday, December 28.
He failed the breath test and was taken to Grenfell Police Station where he returned a mid-range reading of .142.
Hayes’ licence was formally suspended.
The disqualification period was backdated to the day of the offence.
