Cowra Triathlon Club member Darcy Foxall was the only Cowra competitor to finish with a medal from the Big Husky Triathlon Festival held at Huskisson last weekend.

Foxall finished in first place in the Super Sprint 16-19 year age division leading throughout in the event which involved a 200 metre swim, a 9km bike ride and a 2km run.
The swim was challenging with a number of competitors plucked from the huge swell.
It was his second win in the Elite Energy Super Sprint series after taking out the Nowra leg of the series earlier this year.
Cowra Cobras were well represented at the Huskisson Festival which included races over a number of distances as well as a qualifying leg of the Sprint for this year’s World Championships to be held at the Gold Coast.
The club’s only representatives in the Ultimate, a 2km swim, 84km bike ride and 20km run were John Sullivan in the individual and Tabatha Jones and Mark Fisher in the event as a mixed team.
Sullivan completed the 2km swim in just over 37 minutes before covering the 84km bike ride in two hours 36 minutes and the 20km run in one hour and 49 minutes finishing in a very respectable 20th position in his age group and 174th overall in a field of more than 500.
James Rayner, Linda Jonkers, Andrew Fisher, Sarah Armstrong, Amanda Sullivan and Jane Ryder all took part in the Sprint event.
Trish Foxall and Koren Anderson rounded out Cowra’s representation, taking part in the Super Sprint.
The Cowra Triathlon Club races from the basketball courts next the aquatic centre at 6pm on Friday’s during summer.
