Richmond was awarded the dux for his performance in the school’s first HSC receiving an ATAR of 85.25.
Richmond said completing Year 12 at St Raphael’s was different, but good.
“We basically got one to one tutoring,” he said.
“I was lucky to start in Kindy and go all the way right through to Year 12, it was very special, I’m looking forward to continuing to work at Steel Walsh and Murphy now.”
Principal Michael Gallagher said the school was proud to have the first of many Year 12 Duces.
“It’s delightful to be able to have that adult relationship with the kids, growing them through to their final year,” he said.
“I think that’s probably one of the greatest differences between a Year 10 school and a school that does K - 12.
“The first group of Year 12’s have established a fine culture in this place and the next group is consolidating it and it will become more and more embedded in the school.”
