Following the very successful Art Group Christmas Party, the various groups also individually celebrated their year.
The Monday artists came together for a special Christmas lunch at Ilfracombe where artist Bernice Lavender gave a very interesting and informative talk about her life as an artist and her art practice.
The group is also pleased to welcome a new member for 2018.
Congratulations to the Quilters on their most successful and attractive exhibition of handiworks which was on display pre-Christmas in the Visitors Centre.
Members were pleased to receive a letter of appreciation from the co-ordinator who organises the distribution of the hand-knitted baby garments made by members, and from the two local High Schools who were the recipients of cultural donations from the Group.
Art Group representatives recently attended a very interesting and well prepared explanatory session conducted by the Cowra Shire Council on the possibility of a Virtual Museum for Cowra. Those attending found the concept very interesting.
The Cowra Art Group is taking part in Seniors Week again this year on Wednesday, April 4.
