After already holding a fun day of baking on Monday, Cowra Salvation Army’s Major Cathryn Williamson will hold a second Kids in the Kitchen Baking day on Wednesday.
Major Williamson said the class would run from 9am to 3pm.
“These days are possible because of a Council Community Grant to buy some of the equipment needed,” she said.
“We will be making cupcakes and pikelets in the morning, tacos for lunch and a no-bake slice and decorating cupcakes in the afternoon.”
The baking days come on the back of the successful 2017 Kids in the Kitchen program, which saw the initiative created by Major Williamson rolled out to 20 other Salvation Army centres across NSW.
“I think it’s exciting because clearly there’s a need, not just in our community but in lots of communities to teach kids how to cook,” she said.
