Trainer-driver Monique Parsons put together a perfect performance in the gig to edge out Rockn And Rolln and Barkway Arnold in an extremely tight scramble at the post.
It’s A Shakedown was taken to the front of the pack from the gates before Parsons settled her mare in behind Barkway Arnold who led for the majority of trip.
Parsons made her move at the top of the bend sweeping outside Barkway Arnold before holding on and edging out a fast finishing Rockn And Rolln in a mile rate 2:00.02.
The result was It’s A Shakedown’s second win from three starts after going 12 months without a victory.
It’s A Shakedown qualified for the final after finishing third in one of the three Elvis Championships heats on December 29.
It’s her sixth career win from 37 starts.
