The blankets are designed for dementia patients to keep their hands busy.
Sallieann Thompson had the idea of making the blankets after hearing about them on the radio.
“I was driving home from Parkes and I heard on Triple J a girl had visited family in Scotland and discovered Fiddle Muffs for dementia patients,” she said.
“So I contacted the ladies at the Breakout Quilters of the Cowra Art Group and asked them if they would like to make something similar”.
The Quilters agreed and last month donated their works to Bilyara Hostel.
Acting Activities Officer, Christine Parker was grateful for the donation saying it was wonderful for to receive the blankets.
