Cowra’s Mick Curtale has won his second Cowra Open, taking out this year’s edition after carding an impressive one over 109 during Sunday’s 27 hole major event.

It was a battle between Curtale and fellow-Cowra golfer Peter Kirwan, resulting in Curtale securing a comfortable five-shot win with Kirwan carding 114.
David Thomas and Edward Thompson picked up the major prizes in B and C grade, while Jenny Dresser claimed the 18 hole ladies event.
Thomas finished with 129, Thomspon shot 142 and Dresser carded 91.
Players from visiting clubs Royal Canberra, Parkes, Richmond, Bathurst, Oxley, Murwillumbah, Shelly Beach, Dubbo, DuntryLeague, Links Hope Island, Forbes, Yass, Blayney, Wellington were in attendance, making up the 92 player field.
