The Eagles host Aggies at the Cowra Rugby Grounds, their first 15-a-side run around for the preseason ahead of the Blowes Clothing Cup opener on April 1.
Hayes will have players from each of Cowra’s three grades at his disposal.
“There will be some first graders playing but we want to give everyone a chance to have a run around,” Hayes said.
“It’s a trial so we want to take as much out of it as we can. I’ll definitely be looking at those players looking to play first grade and seeing how they cope.
“For the blokes who haven’t had a chance to make training as much as they’d like this is good opportunity to have a run. Trials are always good for match fitness.”
Cowra’s central west women’s champions will also get their first taste of rugby for the new season coming up against Aggies’ women from 2pm.
First grade start at 3pm.
