Eighteen months in the making, Cowra Motorcycle Club will host its first senior meeting at the new Woodstock Park Speedway which will feature some of Australia’s best riders including national champion Sam Masters.
Locals who will be in action include Todd Kurtz, Cook brothers Ben and Zach and Matthew Gilmore.
Victorian Ty Proctor, a former international Taylor Poole rider, is another notable rider expected to feature.
The line-up in the junior support ranks is bursting with talent highlighted by Cowra’s own newly crowned under 16s 125cc Team Champion Moz Brown as well as locals Jasper Freebairn, Matt Brown, Broc White and Tom Drane.
Unfortunately local star Brady Kurtz remains on the sidelines recovering from an injury he sustained at the under 21 nationals at Kurri Kurri last month.
He hopes to be fit by March for the start of UK Elite League.
Gates open at 2pm ahead of the juniors at 3pm and seniors racing from 5pm.
Adult entry is $10, kids under 12 get in free. Full canteen facilities available.
“It’s a great family day out and good opportunity to support the local riders,” Club president Steve Kurtz said.
