They and the Quilters are planning their stalls for the Community Markets on Saturday 15th October in the Show ground Pavilion, when their delightful work will be again on display along with some demonstrations.
They are also busy making toys and gifts for Christmas, so you can be sure to find something of interest.
The quilters are continuing with charity quilts and preparing for their major display in the Japanese Gardens next year. Some are concentrating on embroidery and other new projects.
Members were busy at the Cowra Show this year with Monday artist Mary Ford and helpers taking entries and mounting the Adult Art section ready for judging.
Congratulations to local Robyn Jackson who won the Art Group’s Doreen Cameron Memorial Award for 2016 for her outstanding art work.
Vice President Yvonne Lawrie spread her talents and won an assortment of prizes ranging from lemons and spinach to embroidery and art work. Ann Bush and Robin Wright combined to win second in the decorated pumpkin class with Cinderella’s fairytale carriage. Congratulations all.
The Wednesday and Saturday art groups are active again with new projects set by Anne.
They will have a mini exhibition in the Visitors Centre in December. 15 members met recently at Rogue Café for a happy morning tea, and the next will be at Taste Buds on Wednesday 19 th October. See you there.
