Cowra rugby player, Inge Visser, was named the player of the NRMA NSW Country Women’s Rugby Union Championships held in Newcastle over the weekend.

Several members from the Cowra Eagles were a part of the side which contested the title along with players from the Dubbo Rhinos and Orange Emus which made up the Central West squad.
Inge Visser, who was the 2014 NSW Country Player of the Year, captained the Central West team which took on Hunter and a President’s Barbarian’s XV.
Central West knocked over the Barbarians 19-10 in the Championship opener however fell to a strong Hunter team 33-5.
Hunter went on to claim the Championship, with a 29-5 win over the Barbarians, retaining the Country title.
