A good second day of play from Laura Cummings saw her win the Cowra Cup and the Jean Peterswald Trophies shooting 162 off the stick for 36 holes with Wendy Tuckerman from Boorowa 9 shots further back. The Division II 36 hole Scratch Winner was Ineke Kelson from Randwick making 190 with Carol Hardman from Deniliquin only one shot back. Annette Sutherland from Cowra shot 210 for the event to win Division II, 4 shots ahead of Pauline Laurie from Canowindra.

In the Handicap events, Leanne Slater (Young) with nett148 was one ahead of Wendy Tuckerman in Division I, Ineke Kelson with nett 152 led Sue Shallis (Moss Vale) by 6 nett in Division II and Annette Sutherland took the Division III event with 152 nett, 8 shots ahead of Sandra Short from Bowral.
Over the two days the Divison I results were as follows. The Tournament finished up on Friday with the popular Foursomes Event hitting off on a shotgun start. The Division I Winners with 85 were Lorraine Stubbing and Laura Cummings who completed her winning week on a high. The Runners-Up were Goulburn pair of Deborah Collins and Anne Ridley (92). The Handicap Winners were Carmel Mansell and Helen Moriarty(nett 77.5) with Jill Cripps and Fran Smith from Forbes (81c/b) Runners-Up. Division II Scratch Winners were the Canowindra pair of Julie Fairley and Helen Kemper while Kim Parsons and Elizabeth Shepherd from Moss Vale were Runners-Up. The Handicap Winners were Suzanne Manning and Maxine McCormack from Young and Runners-Up Jan Haskins and Maureen Butler hailed from Moss Vale.

This week's event attracted a small field to contest the 4BBB PAR qualifying round with the District Final to be played in Narromine in August. The Cowra Winners are Carmel Mansell and Sylvia McCormack with +6 while Laura Cummings and Anne Coates with +3 were the Runners-Up. Laura was very accurate on the Par threes, winning the Nearest-the-Pins on the Fagan 5th and Jenaul 7th. Carmel Mansell was nearest on the Coogee Kelpie Stud 14th.
Next week is an 18 Hole Stroke event with the 4th NSW Golf Medal, 5th H&V, Veteran's Country Championships and a Putting Competition. Jenny Armstrong and Bev Honeybrook are rostered onto cards and Vanda Cassim will run the raffle.
