CONTRIBUTED BOB MORGAN Last Saturday the Cowra Bowling Club hosted a round of the Bowls Premier League Cup (BPL), with four local teams competing and the winning team will play in the regional play-offs in September. Congratulations to the successful team of Jim McNaught, Kak Smith and John Bischof. Thanks also to the other competitors, Shane Beasley, Wal Walker, Nev Connor, Sue & Steve Sculthorpe, Bob Morgan, Dawn Dye, Mike Baldwin, Sharon and Dave Bohanna for the exciting day of bowls. Best wishes to the winners when they compete in September. The second-round matches will be played this coming Sunday afternoon at 1.00pm and there should be a number of particularly good, close matches. Upcoming Matches and Events. On Sunday morning at 10.00am our mixed social bowls will be back, so phone in between 8.45am and 9.30am to put your name in. Men’s Graded Pairs matches will commence Saturday 10 May.
