The Sydney Royal Easter show is well underway, drawing in visitors and competitors from across our region. While the Cowra Guardian and Canowindra News prepares for full coverage of our local achievers, four stand-out moments for residents of the region.
Woodstock’s newest show President, Lily Lawler, was presented with $20,000 in funding for the Woodstock Memorial Show. The funds will help cover water repairs, installing a RV dump point and installing a water tank at the Woodstock Showground.
Cowra’s Darcy Howard took his selling skills to the arena, representing MCC Howard Oliver as a finalist at the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association (ALPA) National Young Auctioneers Championship.
Canowindra saw success in young Jack Smythe, who secured Grand Champion Beef Parader, who will be headed to the Adelaide Royal in early September.
Another Canowindra local, Jacob Moriarty, brought the country to the big smoke, as a finalist Royal Agricultural Society of NSW's prestigious RAS Rural Achiever Award.
