The final day of the Carcoar Weaner Sale was a combined store sale, with local agents JJ Dresser & Co. representing Cowra across the weaners.

There were mostly weaners and just a few yearlings, cow and calf units were limited. The quality of the weaners was good with most in the weight range of 260 to 330kg and a good selection of well bred cattle either side down to 150kg and up to 410kg.

The buying group was smaller but competition was strong all the way through. Prices were softer with steers easing $50 to $60/head and heifers $60 to $80/head compared to the Blue ribbon weaner sale.

Light weaner steers under 200kg sold to $810/head. Medium weights to 280kg sold from $750 to $1310/head and most of the Angus and Euro cross steers ranged from 400c to 440c and British crosses 375c to 400c/kg. Heavy weaners reached $1610/head. Medium weights heifers sold from $600 to $950 and heavy weights reached $1195/head and most ranged from 300c to 335c/kg.

Cow and calf units were mixed in quality and there were mostly mixed aged cows in plainer condition. The top priced units reached $2125 and most sold from $1360 to $1910/head.
