YOUR TRUE COUNTRY INDEPENDENT

We all know that the Central West is the greatest part of the greatest country on earth and my aim is to keep it that way!

That sandstone curtain known as the Great Dividing Range is not just a physical barrier between city and country, it divides us in so many other ways as well, such as health outcomes, education and infrastructure.

As I said in my very first speech to Parliament, my mission has and always will be to bridge that great divide between city and country.

I’ve been fighting and delivering for the communities of the Central West since 2011.

Together we’ve been through the Black Summer Bushfires, the devastating floods that hit Eugowra and the Cabonne Shire, drought, the COVID pandemic and now a cost of living crisis.

I’ve always stood up to make sure we get our fair share! I’m sick of seeing city-centric parties and politicians putting city interests first.

Too often country politicians fail to stand up for the bush because they don’t want to rock the boat and put their precious political jobs or party positions at risk.

I’m not afraid to take a stand. As Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, I threatened to resign from cabinet unless veterans received the funding they deserved.

I BELIEVE IN COUNTRY FIRST!

Together, we’ve secured some serious wins for Canowindra:

 fought for $100 million for flood support package

 secured Parliamentary Inquiry into the shocking behaviour of insurers after the floods

 $250,000 for new amenities at Canowindra Showground

 $50,000 for solar panels at Canowindra Golf Club

 $700,000 for Bangaroo Bridge replacement

 $2 billion for Great Western Highway upgrade

 $2.1 million for Canowindra and Molong streetscape upgrades

 $2.59 million for new overtaking lanes on the Cargo Road

 Fought for Nyrang Creek Bridge replacement

I’ve also put our issues front and centre on the national stage in Parliament, introducing and supporting Bills to:

 ban the foreign buying of residential property for two years

 get more doctors living and working in the bush

 keep cash king in Australia

 break up the market dominance of the supermarket giants to stop the rip-offs

 ban wind farms in State forests

As an Independent, I don’t have to tow a party line or vote how the party bosses decree.

And I don’t owe a pay check or promotion to a party machine.

My sole focus is working for you! After this election true country independents are going to have a big say in Canberra and we can continue to get the key services and infrastructure we need like that expressway through the mountains!

With your support we can continue to deliver even more for the Central West and keep this important work going!
