Canowindra is a proud, hardworking community.
It’s a place where small businesses support families, neighbours look out for each other and no one’s afraid of hard work.
But right now, I know many of you are feeling the squeeze - and you need someone in Canberra who not only hears your concerns, but acts on them.
That’s why I’m running. To fight for communities like Canowindra that too often get left behind in the big city conversation.
The cost of living crisis isn’t just numbers on a spreadsheet - it’s whether you can fill the fuel tank, pay the power bill and still afford groceries for the week.
I get that.
That’s why under the Coalition, we’ll cut the fuel excise in half for 12 months, putting real money back into your pocket - around $15 saved on a standard tank.
That’s help now, not in 15 months’ time like Labor’s plan.
On top of that, our gas plan will bring more local supply into the system to help drive energy prices down now - while we invest in a long-term solution through zero-emission nuclear. We need an energy mix that’s reliable, affordable and doesn’t destroy our landscape.
This isn’t about ideology. It’s about keeping the lights on and the bills manageable.
One of the issues I hear most when I’m out doorknocking, especially mums and carers, is the GP shortage.
You shouldn’t have to wait weeks or drive hours to get your child or elderly parent to a doctor.
That’s why I’m committed to fixing our local health crisis by getting more GPs into our towns by providing better incentives, like wiping HECS debt for doctors who come here for a minimum of three years and greater training facilities at Charles Sturt.
I’m not here to make empty promises.
I’m here because I care deeply about this region. I grew up in Central West. I know what it’s like when your community’s ignored - and I’ll fight every day to make sure Canowindra gets its fair share.
I want to be the kind of representative who not only shows up - but stands up. For families. For farmers. For small business. For the next generation.
So on election day, I’m asking for your trust and your vote - and in return, I’ll give you everything I’ve got.
Let’s get Calare back on track - together.
