Elders Emms-Mooney has been celebrated as high achievers alongside NSW colleagues at annual awards night, at Doltone House in Sydney.
The Cowra branch uniquely managed to secure multiple awards on the evening, with Adam Gambrill taking number one agent in the top ten for best residential salespeople, and colleague Caley Mok taking number six in the same category for settled sales.
Caley also took home a position in the top ten agents for residential gross sales, coming 8th, a rare achievement given the awards spanned branches and franchisees across NSW and ACT.
The branch was also recognised for 'Best Team Culture.'
With large companies always looking to improve workplace cultures, the team at Cowra put the award down to the cooperative nature of the branch.
Emms Mooney Elders' Adam Gambrill said "Any sort of recognition you can get is a privilege. Markets have shifted quite a bit over the last twelve months, so to still be consistently getting good results for our clients, and be recognised is rewarding."
Caley Mok said the team fostered friendships that helped the branch work more cooperatively.
"We work pretty closely together, and we've been good friends for a long time," Caley said. "Having that on top of the work environment helps us deliver good results for our clients. We're on the same page in the way we conduct business, and the way we treat clients and customers. It helps us as a team. We have a third residential agent, Haley, who contributes just as well."
With the real estate industry's reputation for competitiveness and individual success, Caley said the Cowra branch's culture differed.
"In real estate specifically I think it's very difficult to find in that environment - because it is such a competitive role I suppose," he said "Other agents might have tunnel vision in what they're trying to do, whereas we're a little different, we're happy to do what we need to do to secure business and get better results for our clients, whether it's Adam myself or Haley listing a property. The other side is, when we're trying to find a buyer, it's the same thing -- we're trying to find the best buyer."
The duo and wider team were now looking to continue, and keep up the good work. With Adam saying the recognition was a useful mark to continue growing.
"It's great being recognised, but moving forward, we want to continue to be in that position and keep improving at what we do."
In a market that is deeply affected by politics and people's bottom line, Adam says the goal now is to be consistent.
The Cowra Guardian asked both Caley and Adam what advice they would give to other businesses; with both agents admitting they'd be hesitant to offer advice other than to put their customers first.
Adam added "Really, as Caley alluded to - if you put the needs of your clients first with the way that you conduct business, good things always come off the back of that. If you're all working towards a collective goal, everybody is on the same page and that creates a cohesive, happy workplace environment."
Caley said a general rule of thumb for the team was to carry on being 'good people' both at work and with customers.
"For us, what works is first and foremost trying to be good people with our clients, and the business follows. Remember your customer, put good things out there and good things generally come back as a result"
