Aston Current is not the best greyhound Canowindra trainer Paul Britt has ever put a muzzle on, he's not even the best in his kennel at present but he's certainly one of the most consistent.

The well bred son of Barcia Bale out of an Aston Tara litter added to his winning record since joining the Britt kennel with a scintillating victory over the 318 sprint course at Dubbo's Dawson Park on Saturday.
"He ran very quick time," Britt said of Aston Current's latest Dubbo win, his fourth since joining his Canowindra based kennels.
Owned by one of Australia's biggest breeders Ray Borda, Aston Current came to Britt via Victorian trainer Rod Clark.
"He won four races in Victoria before I got him," Britt said.
Those wins came at Horsham, twice over 410 metres, and Shepperton, twice, over 380 metres.
Sent to the boxes a $1.70 favourite with the coveted one box on Saturday, Aston Current was only fairly away but was able to hold the rails and worked his way to the lead over Bogan Panther ($30.40) with Morales Casey ($9.70) railing under Benny Bow ($5.60) into third as the field settled.
On straightening Aston Current extended his lead, racing away to a four length win in a slick 18.07, the first section in 4.70, over Bogan Panther with Morales Casey four and three quarter lengths away in third place.
In 16 starts since joining the Britt kennel, Aston Current has also recorded nine minor placings.
With six dogs currently in work Britt considers Aston Current as the second fastest dog.
The accolade as the fastest charge currently under his tutelage rests with recent two time winner Sonny Daze, owned by Bonnie Webb.
Sonny Daze also came to the Britt kennels via Rod Clark, since winning two of three starts for the Canowindra trainer.
Another well bred dog, Sonny Daze's only defeat for Britt was a second placing at Richmond.
A son of Don't Knocka Him out of a Big Bang Marjen litter, Sonny Daze has recorded 14 career wins and 24 placings from 65 starts.
Cowra winners continue
The winners have kept coming for Cowra and Woodstock trainers in the past week, highlighted by a winning treble to Woodstock's Darren Wort at Bathurst on Monday.
Cowra's leading kennel, the Paul and Pam Braddon establishment added to the local success leading home Lonie Swift.
Wort's three winners came courtesy of Scottie Mick, Rare Talent and Cherry Bomber.
Scottie Mick and Cherry Bomber are both from litters produced by matings between Keybow and Cawoola Cherry.
Opening the meeting on a winning note Scottie Mick took out out a 307 metre maiden from box one as a $2.90 favourite after third placings at the Bathurst track at its two previous outings, it's most recent after being checked at the first turn from box three.
Smartly away this week Scottie Mick had to contend with Gem Dealer ($6) early on before getting a break approaching the home turn, holding on for a four and three quarter length win over the fast finishing Kantiki Star ($81), with Gem Dealer tiring in to third five and three quarter lengths away.
Punters didn't miss the Wort trained Rare Talent, sending the promising young dog to the boxes a $1.40 favourite.
A promising type, Rare Talent went in to the event having already recorded five wins and three placings in her eight run career.
Despite stepping up to the 450 metre trip Rare Talent overcame a tardy getaway from the seven box to race outside the Tanya Nieuwendyk trained Lebowski ($9.50) with a widening gap to the chasing brigade.
After appearing becoming unbalanced around the turn Rare Talent overpowered Lebowski to record its sixth win.
Cherry Bomber completed Wort's treble.
A runner up last week from the inside trap when hampered in the run to the first turn Cherry Bomber took luck out of the occasion this week leading most of the way to score in Grade 5 company over 307 metres in 17.96.
Completing the winning meet for Cowra, the Pam Braddon trained Lonie Swift continued to show a liking for the Bathurst track notching up another win.
Beginning safely from the wide draw Lonie Swift soon had the race in her keeping racing away to score in a fast 17.69 registering win number four with another six minors from 10 starts at the Bathurst venue.
Cowra trained greyhounds Rocky Mountain (Greg McAlister), Digger's Magic (Paul Braddon), Zola Magic (Pam Braddon), Magical Bear (Pam Braddon), Arrie A Blaze (Paul Braddon) and Thirsty Friday (Ron McGuiness) finished amongst the placegetters at the meeting.
