Up to 8pm on Thursday, October 7 no cases were reported in Cowra Shire.
Sixteen cases were identified in the Western NSW Local Health District.
The cases were located in Dubbo (6), Bathurst (5), Wellington (2), Bourke (1), Orange (1) and Oberon (1):
Two of the cases have been identified as being in the community while infectious.
Twelve cases have been identified as not being in the community while infectious and two remain under investigation.
Two cases are known to be linked to previously confirmed cases.
In total, there has been 1444 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in WNSWLHD and 13 deaths.
Nine patients have been admitted to hospital across WNSWLHD; two were in ICU.
