Little did she know that a group of local teenagers would be the ones to answer the call.
Following the detection of Cowra's first COVID case, Ms Banks, who runs On The Banks Cleaning Service, was contracted to conduct a deep clean of Cowra Public School earlier this week.
"I got the call on Sunday night from a contractor in Sydney, I had one day to find 15 at the most people," she said.
"I said to Matthew, my son, would any of your friends be willing? Because they have all been immunised, they've all had their COVID shots and they're all covered.
"He said "well, I'll ask".
"Yep, they all turned up."
The teens, along with a number of Ms Banks' staff members, took on the eight hour job on Tuesday.
"We have to wipe down, sanitise every surface, every desk, every chair, everything that you could possibly think of in that school had to be wiped down," she said.
"Then we had to mop, sanitise the carpet, the gym area, the auditorium, everything.
"They could not leave the site because it's unhygienic, we had to stay on the site at all times.
"It was eight hours of continuous cleaning."
Ms Banks said the group did an amazing job.
"These kids deserve a wrap," she said.
"Nothing was trouble to them... Nothing fazed them.
"I just showed them what they had to do and they got in and did it.
"I want them to have the recognition that they deserve because it's an amazing achievement.
"I couldn't get adults to do this in the short notice."
Ms Banks also praised the efforts of Terry Lovett, who assisted with running gear to the group on the day.
