Wiradjuri woman Renee Thomson, who now resides in Mt Druitt, has taken on a strong leadership role in her community.
Renee, along with fellow young First Nations people Nooky and Mi-kaisha Masella, have provided some tips for her community on how to look after themselves and their mob during these tough times.
Renee has been busy making sure the older members of her family are looked after.
She continually drops meals off to her Uncles and Nan who live alone to try and alleviate some of the added stress they have on their minds, all while reassuring them that they are loved and have family just a phone call away if they ever need anything.
She's also reached out to lots of young people and has some caring and encouraging messages for the younger members of Western Sydney, especially those who are experiencing some tough times.
"It's OK to be feeling the way you feel at the moment, you are not alone throughout these unprecedented times," Renee said.
"Always acknowledge your feelings and ensure that you are reaching out to someone you love and trust to let them know how you are feeling."
Renee also knows how important it is to stay active, connect with others and practice some self-care.
"Just know that you are loved, you are valued and you belong," she said.
"You are stronger than you could ever imagine and you will get through this."

Being such a strong and passionate community member and leader, it's not surprising that once this is all over, Renee plans to call a meeting for the Western Sydney Aboriginal Youth Leadership Network so they are able to connect with one another and continue the work they have started to ensure the young people of their community have their voices heard.
The health campaign, released by the NSW Government, also provides tips on how to stay physically and mentally healthy, while also giving advice on the importance of social distancing.
