Mrs Launders received the award from Cowra Mayor, Councillor Bill West and Cowra Show Society President Matt Bohman.
Mrs Launders said she was grateful to receive the award.
"You put a lot of behind the scenes hours into running several events at a show and it's not just about the show, it's about all of the things we do during the year," she said.
"I found it a really nice way to get to know people in our community being a non-local.
"It's lovely being recognised for the many, many hours, and high levels of stress at times, but obviously you get a lot out of it as well," she joked.
Mr Bohman said the award is given to an outstanding volunteer each year.
"Over the last year, it couldn't have been anybody but Kellie," he said.
"It's a good way to recognise someone that has put so much effort into the product that we have at the end, and that's Kellie."
Cr West said while many in the community choose to complain, volunteers like Mrs Launders are putting their hands up to make a difference.
"I think it's something the Show Society should be acknowledged for, Matt and the team for... providing some sort of recognition to the volunteers and the people who work so hard behind the scene," he said.
"I think it's vital we recognise people instead of trying to find someone to blame.
"We recognise the positive, in Kellie's case, it's obviously a well deserved award, as someone who has worked tirelessly behind the scene in a happy, cheerful manner and just contributed so much without wanting in return.
"I think from our perspective... thanking the Show Society for their work but also acknowledging the tremendous work Kellie does and saying, on behalf of the community, thank you."
