Residents of all ages and handicraft abilities are being encouraged to knit or crochet 9cm "raindrops" in any hue of blue.
The raindrops will form a display at this year's Cowra Show in October.
The display, along with the details of the contributors, will then be taken to the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Visitors to the Easter Show will be encouraged to 'buy a raindrop' for a gold coin donation and drop them in the RAS rain tank, with all proceeds going into some of the worst drought affected areas across the state.
