Todd Kurtz
Todd is set for his 10th consecutive British League season where he will ride for the Sheffield Tigers in the top league. In recognition of Todd's 10 Years of service to British Speedway, the British Association will honour Todd with a Testimonial Meeting at Sheffield on Thursday, March 19.
Todd has secured a world class field of riders to honour him from a multitude of countries, competing in a 23 heat meeting. Riders include two former world champions, fellow Aussies Chris Holder and Jason Doyle as well former Australian Championships including Todd's younger brother Brady.
Brady Kurtz
Brady has made the move to the Belle Vue Aces (Manchester) in the top league this year after riding for the Poole Pirates for the past three seasons. Poole opted to move down to the 2nd division for the 2020 season which ruled out Kurtz whose average is too high to compete in this league. Kurtz will start the season as their Number 1 rider.
Brady has also re-signed a 2 year contract to ride with his Polish Club, Leszno Bulls. Leszno successfully continued their top league Championship reign winning the league again in 2019. To top off Brady's already busy season he's also signed, for the third consecutive season, with Swedish Club, Vetlanda.
Zach Cook & Ben Cook
The Cook brothers, Zach and Ben have headed to the UK for their first competitive British season where Zach has secured a spot with Somerset Rebels and Ben is joining the Poole Pirates in the 2nd Division.
Due to Zach's 2nd placing in the 2020 Australian U21 Speedway Championships held in January he has also booked himself a spot in the World U21 Individual Championship Qualifier to be held in June and the U21 World Team Cup Qualifier in May.
Matt Gilmore
Matt Gilmore will be heading off to Poland later this month where he will join the Rawicz team squad in the second division, hoping to secure regular rides. Matt will also join Zach Cook in the 2020 World Team Cup Qualifier later in the year.
Maurice Brown
The club's junior rider, Maurice Brown will be heading overseas later in the year and hopes to add to his already impressive record when he competes in the FIM U16 250cc Speedway Junior World Title in Germany in July. Moz who turns 16 in July will move up to the senior ranks and is keen to join the other Cowra boys in the British League.
Cowra Motorcycle Racing Club continues to produce champion riders and gives them the opportunity to compete professionally overseas and follow their dreams. The Club is hosting two State Speedway Titles towards the end of the season with lots of local talent on show.
