The now 10 year old will be aiming for its fifth win in the 2020 edition of the Breakout River Meats Cowra Japan Cup over 1200 metres on Sunday.
"He's a regular fixture," Ford said ahead of Sunday's meeting which kicks off with the running of the Dr Geoffrey Sprigge Memorial at 1.10pm.
Zarhron has taken out the Cowra feature a staggering four times, his only defeat in the event coming last year after winning the previous four Cowra Japan Cups.
He was sixth in a field of nine last year and goes into Sunday's assignment second up after a last start sixth at Wagga Wagga in a strong Benchmark 83.
Sentiment aside despite having Cowra's Matthew Cahill in the saddle he looks to have the task ahead this year, but only a fool would completely write him off as a chance.
Cowra jockey Eleanour Webster-Hawes and Bathurst trainer Dean Mirfin appear to hold a strong hand in the event with Worldly Pleasure.
A last start fifth on the Kensington track following a win at the same venue, both over 1100 metres, Worldly Pleasure will probably start the popular elect with punters.
Sunday's racing will cap of a big weekend of activities for the Cowra Jockey Club.
On Saturday afternoon the Cowra Bowling Club has organised, from 1pm, a day out with special guests Jim Cassidy, Alan Robinson, Trevor Gilmeister and Alfie Langer.
On Saturday evening the bowling club will be the venue for the Cowra Cup Calcutta and this morning Sydney radio station the Big Sports Breakfast is broadcasting live from Cowra.
