The book "History of School Photography in Australia" was compiled by Grenfell-born David Good, a former business partner of Cliff's who later founded the Master School Portraits company
Cliff is one of 21 successful Australian photographers featured in the book alongside Arthur Reed, John Hendriks, Tony Wouters and Paul Dawson.
Unfortunately as David states in the book, the opportunity to record stories of those people who were involved in School Photography prior to the 1960s was missed but this book seeks to record the changes and innovation from 1970s to now.
Cliff and his wife Kay have been involved in the photographic industry for over 40 years and are a well-known duo throughout the Central West.
Cliff was pleased to catch up with his peers on Saturday, November 9 in Melbourne for the book launch at the Australasian School Photography Industry Conference.
Cliff's company, which recently rebranded as "Creative School Portraits" is one of the very few Australian photographers who use Green screen technology for School Portraits.
Many others are still using the old-fashioned canvas background. The United States is one of the major players in the Green screen technology and much of Australia is yet to catch up.
Competing with multi-national franchises, CSP has a staff of just four, including Cliff's daughter Kristy along with employee Lisa Lette. The team are already looking towards 2020, with a focus on personalization and digital-only products.
Along with Kay, Cliff would like to thank all of the Cowra, and local community for their support over the years.
"We could not have come this far and been able to make the advances in technology without the support throughout the Central West," they said
"We currently photograph over 80 schools, some with over 1000 students and travel to places like Warren, Griffith, Temora, Dubbo, Leeton, Cootamundra, Blayney, Parkes as well as the ACT."
