The launch featured a presentation by members of the team behind the app - Jacqueline Schultze, Mayu Kanamori, Masako Fukui and Chie Muraoka.
Along with the presentation, those in attendance were also shown how to download and use the app on their smartphones.
Cowra Mayor, Councillor Bill West congratulated the team on the work they had done and for "ensuring the heritage and history is accurately recorded".
Cowra Voices is an audio-visual storytelling app about Cowra's unique history of civic peace and reconciliation.
It allows users to experience places of historic significance through audio stories narrated by 19 Cowra community members - all of whom having different connections to the Cowra Breakout and the contemporary relationship between Cowra and Japan.
