With a number of different community projects in the running, the Cowra Masons are encouraging residents to vote and help revitalise the Cowra Masonic Hall.

The project is one of six in the Cowra Shire that can be voted on to receive funding through the NSW Government's My Community Project program.
A spokesperson for the Cowra Masons said the funding would allow the building, built in 1918, to be transformed back to its former glory.
"Buildings of this age have a historical value to the region however they need to be modernised to allow disability access, etc. in line with community expectations," the spokesperson said.
"By providing a hall facility to the greater community it will encourage social engagement and inclusion of those living in the region.

"The social benefits of providing an independent sizeable venue to the community with a functional kitchen, thus enabling social engagements such as parties, dances and additionally for those needing a larger indoor recreational space."
As well as providing a sizeable venue for functions and events, the Cowra Masons said, if the project was selected for funding, it would be an economic win for Cowra.
"A financial benefit to the community by the immediate expenditure of funds and employment of trades during the renovation," the spokesperson said.
"An economic benefit to the town crippled by drought by employing local trades and spending within the regional retail establishments whilst undergoing renovations.
"The Project will be managed by the Hall Company management team in conjunction with the contracted licenced builder.
"Local builders, carpenters, painters and plumbers and associated trades will be engaged to complete the necessary renovation works.
"The renovation will commence immediately after the awarding and confirmation of the grant provision."
How to vote
You'll be able to vote online or at your nearest Service NSW Centre.
To vote, you'll need a MyServiceNSW Account, your Medicare card to verify your name and age and your NSW residential address to identify your electorate.
Then visit https://mycommunityproject.service.nsw.gov.au to cast your vote.
You'll need to pick between three and five projects in your electorate, arrange them in order of your preference, then submit your vote.
Each person can vote only once.
Voting is open until August 15 and the successful projects will be announced in September.
