A Cowra man who blew more than four times the legal limit was fined $1000 and disqualified for seven months at Cowra Local Court.

Aidyn Gould, 35, of Taragala Street appeared before Cowra Local Court on November 7, charged with drive high range PCA.
Magistrate Michael O’Brien gave Mr Gould a community corrections order, fined him $1000 and disqualified him from driving for seven months with a mandatory interlock device installed for a period of 24 months.
Magistrate O’Brien also ordered Mr Gould abstain from alcohol for a period of six weeks.
“You don’t get .201 by accident,” Magistrate O’Brien said.
“That is a horrendously high reading, over four times the legal limit.”
According to the police facts, around 9.20pm on Tuesday, September 4, police were patrolling Victor Street when they noticed Mr Gould driving with two male passengers.
Police say Mr Gould ducked his head down and concealed his face using the brim of his baseball cap. At 9.25pm, Mr Gould sped off without warning and made a right hand turn without slowing down.
Police stopped Mr Gould in Jindalee Circuit, where they conducted a breath test which returned a positive reading. Mr Gould was arrested for purpose of a breath analysis at Cowra Police Station, where he gave a reading of 0.201 grams of alcohol per 210L of breath.
Mr Gould’s solicitor Clive Hill said his client was peer pressured into giving some friends a lift on the day in question.
“He drank a bottle of wine and a beer… He succumbed to peer pressure,” Mr Hill said.
Magistrate O’Brien said Mr Gould’s inebriation could have cost lives.
“The reading is extraordinarily high, I suspect he had more than a bottle of wine and glass of beer,” he said.
“When you made the decision to drive, you put not only your life, but the lives of your passengers and other drivers at risk.”
Mr Gould completed the Traffic Offenders Program.
Man charged with speeding “lost”
A Sydney man, who failed to appear before Cowra Local Court on November 7, was fined $100 for speeding.
According to the police facts, Jock Spencer Granger, 69, of Calliope St, Mossman, was caught travelling between 65 and 75km/h in a 50 zone. In relation to his speed, Mr Granger told police he was lost and his Navman had given him the wrong directions.
