Next year’s Guest Nation will be Japan, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the Cowra Breakout, 50th anniversary of Seikei exchange, 40th anniversary of the Cowra Japanese Garden and 30th anniversary of the Sakura Matsuri Festival.
New Festival Director, Meredith Burton, presented an overview of plans including the implementation of a number of community-based cultural learning activities, cultural and sporting competitions and workshops to take place in coming months.
Applications for the Youth Ambassador officially opened, along with Parade and Stallholder applications.
The Festival will run from Friday, March 15 until Sunday, March 17.
