- Fair Dinkum Men’s Ministry Cowra
FDMMC is not solely aligned with any other groups and runs independently, but has the support of a number of different churches.
FDMMC is organising a Men’s Dinner for September 15 at the Cowra Bowling Club, starting at 6:30pm.
The speaker will be Tim Abbey, currently the Chaplain at Kirkconnell Correctional Centre.
Prior to this Tim was a Pastor at Bathurst Presbyterian Church for 14 years and before that ministered at Tuggeranong Presbyterian Church in Canberra for five years.
He studied for the Presbyterian Ministry at Moore College in Sydney for four years, having worked in Agriculture for eight years.
Whilst studying at Hawkesbury Ag College, Tim married Leonie and they have been blessed with two daughters and three grandchildren.
Tim loves to relax with family, DIY building, an odd game of hockey and seeing far flung parts of the outback courtesy of a 4WD and camper trailer.
Tim has found prison to be a place where life’s big questions can strangely become clearer – an important “insight” for those on the “outside”.
This will be a great opportunity to hear from an experienced man about what it takes to follow Jesus and why this is important in our present age.
The cost of the dinner is $30 per head and to register for the dinner please click on the link. Registrations will be accepted up until September 9.
