For former Cowra guitarist Lennie Edgerton, it’s worth the “whisk”.
Lennie, a member of the popular country music group Whiskey Business, recently returned home to play at the Cowra Services Club as a part of the band’s Home is where the Heart is tour.
He said family and friends had always supported his musical career.
“It will be nice to see family again,” he said before his gig.
“If not one else turns up, it will be rent-a-crowd, I’ve got a street team out there, it’s a good vibe.”
He said punters can expect a mix of covers and originals from the band, with a few surprises thrown in.
“We’re fun, there’s lot of energy,” he said.
“More American, country rock, there’s a good variety.
“Classic 80’s party stuff, little bit of that too.
“The country music landscape has changed, it’s much more well-received then what gets touted as pop music.”
The band is working on a new single.
