A man of the match performance from Zac Starr led Grenfell to a four wicket win with the all-rounder recording figures of 7-47 before hitting 39 in the successful run chase.
Batting first, Cowra was bowled out for 118 in 36 overs as only four batsmen managed double figures.
Mick Curtale (27) and Nick Berry (23) were the only batsmen to make real starts while Tom Thuaux (20) made a handy contribution at the end.
Starr along with his brother Hamish (3-27) combined to take all 10 wickets.
Cowra gave itself a chance removing four wickets early but Zac and Hamish Starr again combined to steer Grenfell to a stunning triumph.
The pairs sixth-wicket 39-run partnership took Grenfell from 5-65 to 6-104 before Zac (39) was bowled by Cowra captain Nick Berry.
Hamish (35 not out) kept his wicket in tact remaining not when Grenfell passed the winning total in the 33rd over.
Tim Berry (4-44) was Cowra’s best with the ball while Jacob McNaught (1-22) and Nick Berry (1-26) also picked up wickets.
Cowra had retained the Cup twice in 2017 against Forbes and Young after defeating Parkes during December last year.
West Wyalong is scheduled to take on Grenfell this Sunday in what could be one of the final challenges of the season.
