Due to the holidays, numbers for both the executive and members were down.
Among items discussed were the changing of the Grenfell, April meeting date.
The date has been changed from April 16 to April 9 –thereby avoiding holding it on Easter Sunday –, the continuation of an observer team to the RSL District Council annual general meeting in Cootamundra on February 12, the confirmation of a National Servicemen’s Memorial Service on Sunday, February 19 at the Yass cenotaph at 10am followed by a meeting at the Yass Soldiers Club.
On March 25 members will march in the street parade of the Festival of International Understanding to be held in Cowra in the afternoon and then participate in festivities at the Lachlan Hotel in the evening.
The sub-branch Hon.Secretary/Treasurer in his report has finances in a healthy state following the recent fund raising, and members are also reminded of the request from NSA State Branch to forward membership renewal forms to the sub-branch (PO BOX 145, Cowra) or call into the Kendal Street, Cowra office. This should be done prior to February 28.
