Memorable grand final wins for the senior side against Bathurst Bushrangers Outlaws and under 12s were obviously a highlight, but player shortages in the other junior grades were a concern.
The new committee led by President Marc Hyland will be looking to bolster the squads over the next couple of months.
Training has commenced on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 6pm at Mulyan Oval.
All new and existing players are encouraged to attend to work on some preseason fitness.
The club intends on fielding teams in all grades, inluding seniors, under 17s, under 14s, under 12s and ladies. The Auskick program will also be further developed.
All coaching positions are currently vacant with anyone interested in taking on these rewarding roles are invited to submit an application.
Applications can be forwarded to admin@cowrablues.com.au or PO Box 488, Cowra.
Applicants will require a Level 1 accreditation but this can be achieved through a one day course prior or during the season. Applications close at close of business hours, Friday, February 3.
The 2017 draw hasn’t been released as yet, but it is envisaged the first round will be in early April, and perhaps a little later for the under 12s and 14s.
