CANOWINDRA BOWLS
By ROGER TRAVES
On Tuesday arvo Crock played his best game ever, his own words.
In the major singles against Roger the game had some unbelievable bowls from both players on occasion.
The scores were level on five of the 35 ends played.
Crock led 21/20 when Roger scored 4 shots to lead 24/21.
The next end Roger held game and Crock moved the kitty on his last bowl to get a shot.
Crock followed up with 2 shot on the next to draw level 24/24.
On the last end crock drew a close bowl to hold game, Roger’s last bowl hit the shot bowl slightly off centre and it rolled over with the kitty. Crock held on to win 25/24.
There was an entertaining crowd on hand to witness a great game.
Brad played excellent draw bowls against Mathew on Saturday.
The match was fairly even early with the score 16/15 Brad's way midway through.
Although Mathew must have felt the gods were against him later in the match with several near misses.
Brad held on, continuing his very good draw bowling.
In the minor single match Graham and Peter Blye played in an even tussle early.
Later in the game Graham proving a bit more consistent then Peter held to win 25/15.
Well done to two new bowlers playing singles.
On Sunday we had a family affair with Corey Rooke playing Harry Webb.
The game was similar pattern with very little difference in the scores.
Harry was within reach of winning but was unable to hold .Corey played great composure for new bowler to finish the match strongly, winning 25/18.
