The Boorowa Goldies Rugby Club defeated Young Yabbies at Cranfield Oval last Friday night bringing home a solid win against the reigning premiers.
With three tries to George Chudleigh, two to Adam Hick and one each to Liam Salmon and Michael Berry and conversions by Josh Carmody and Liam Salmon the boys brought home the win 39 to 5.
"The Goldies relied on the experience of their forward pack, especially second rowers Chudleigh and Flannery to set a great platform for Patty Johnson and Liam Salmon to play expansive out back," the Club said.
"A deep bench for the Goldies made their impact felt as the game wore on.
"Still plenty to work on for the boys, but it's been a positive start to the season for the Gold cotton jersey."
