Woodstock, get ready!

The Festival of Small Halls is bringing live music to the Woodstock Memorial Hall on Sunday, 19 April.

Festival of Small Halls is a series of tours that brings folk and contemporary acoustic artists to tiny halls in communities all over Australia.

This Autumn, Métis Canadian powerhouse Joe H Henry is joined by the fantastic Tullara on the Autumn Tour across NSW, Victoria and Queensland - and the show comes to Woodstock for one night only.

Joe H Henry possesses a voice described as “as powerful as a freight train” – delivering his blend of early rhythm and blues, soul, and alt-country, enriched by folk-inspired lyrical depth.

Tullara, born and raised on a parrot farm in rural Ramornie NSW (true story), is an indie-pop and folk/roots rocker who released her debut EP Better Hold ON and 2016 and went on to win Best EP at the 2017 Australian Roots Music Awards. It was just the first step in a self-managed music career that has achieved over an incredible 1,700,000 streams on Spotify alone.

Opening the show will be Cowra-born acoustic musician Emily Reynolds.

Emily has transitioned into singer-songwriting: folk-inspired songs infused with country influences, drawing from personal stories about her life and family.

She performs at venues across the central west, including clubs, wineries, markets, weddings and other special events – as well as the Cowra Bell Beats Festival, Aus Music Tshirt Day, TCMF Busking, and as an opening act for larger artists.

Dinner available from 5.30pm, doors open 6.30pm for 7pm start.

Tickets available online, through https://smallhalls.flicket.io/ or in person from the Woodstock Community Post Office or JJ Dresser.
