Cowra Baptist, very early in the piece, fought hard to ensure that church life and the Christian faith would not be crushed.
They adapted and worked within the Government guidelines regarding rules and restrictions and those "COVID safe plans".
Significantly, there were times when they had to not meet face-to-face so they increased their online presence and their services went onto the Cowra Baptist Church YouTube channel, as well as making more use of their Facebook page and Zoom meetings and morning teas.
"It has been a very hard season for all of us, yet I am convinced that God is Faithful. He works even in the mess and muck of life. Jesus Lives, the Church is not dead, COVID does not win, Christ does," Pastor Austin Griffiths said.
This year the church aims to once again run the Cowra Community Christmas Lunch, which was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID rules.
"The idea is that there maybe some folk who do not have family and friends nearby this Christmas in Cowra, so instead of spending it alone, people can join us for Christmas lunch," the Pastor said.
"The church has done this for almost 10 years now and it has been a positive provision for many in our community."

In addition, others have volunteered to help serve and chat, as well as set up and clean up.
"It really has been a good thing, with anywhere between 45 - 75 participants," the Pastor said.
"I'm not sure how we will go for numbers this year, some maybe reluctant to go out again because of the COVID fear factor, but I suspect that it will still be worth it."
If people want to register to attend please contact the Pastor or SMS on 0429 421 294.
Please register before December 21.
If you want to contribute financially or physically offer to help, or have any questions, again please call Pastor Austin on that same number.
