The Cup is a modified version of the game which maximises the involvement of all participants in an eight over hit out where pairs of batsmen get two overs to score as many runs as they with an incentive to hit straight and double your runs.
The girls team went through their five matches only losing once; and on a countback were named the regional Champions.
As a result they will now get the opportunity to play in the final which will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 11 against schools nation-wide.
The boys were not so lucky but still managed to win three out of their five games and finish equal third.
