How many members do you have?
We turned out for the Shiel fire with 13 active firefighters.
What's been your toughest fire?
All fires are tough. You're going into the unknown.
Most of our crew have been in our brigade for 20-plus years.
There's a lot of fires we've fought.
Each fire is different.
Why do you volunteer?
We're a farming brigade so there's a vested interested in protecting our assets, but it's also a thing that brings our community together.
All our children have dispersed all over the country but they're also in the brigade.
They've done basic firefighting.
If the situation demands it, they'll come home to help us out.
What does your community mean to you?
It's a close knit community that works together.
