How many members do you have?
About 30, 35 members and about 15, 20 active members who we rely on a regular basis.
What's been your toughest fire?
We've been fortunate enough to avoid a major and significant fire.
But with 8000 hectares on our western boundary, there's always a scare or concern for the big one coming over the hill.
Why do you volunteer?
The idea of volunteering is something we got off of our fathers and previous landholders.
It's the matter of a community in a small area; it's really a matter of looking after your neighbour and looking after yourself. We work with our neighbours, they work with us and everyone is protected.
What does your community mean to you?
Just the friendship and when things go wrong everyone comes together for a common goal.
It's impressive the way people work together.
